Folder/Gluer 2nd Shift

About The Position

Set up and maintain the folder/gluer to produce pharmaceutical cartons, sleeves, and folders. Operate the equipment in accordance with customer specifications and current standard operating procedures while ensuring job quality and maintaining the machine and work area safely and efficiently. The role may also assist press operators at the delivery end, assist small machine operators in the rewind area, and operate folders in the insert area.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to maintain good attendance.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.

Responsibilities

Locate and load the proper stock in preparation for operation.
Prepare the make-ready feeder, prefold, glue system, final fold, delivery, stacker, pack station, and inspection system.
Operate the folder/gluer according to customer specifications and current standard operating procedures.
Ensure total quality of the job while it is in operation.
Maintain the machine and area in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Demonstrate competency in straight-line, lock-bottom, inner partition, and 5th-panel folds.
Assist press operators as needed at the delivery end of the press.
Assist small machine operators in the rewind area.
Operate folders in the insert area.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Work safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures.
