About The Position

Under general supervision and following established procedures, the Folder Gluer Operator sets up orders, maintains and cleans the machine and work area, and produces products that meet quality standards and customer specifications. The role converts corrugated sheets into boxes and requires adherence to company values and established standards for internal and external customers. The operator participates in continuous improvement and communicates opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

Review stock to ensure it meets the correct specifications.
Adjust adhesive.
Follow setup and quality checks in accordance with the standard operating procedure manual.
Complete machine setup procedures, including setting heads, pulling sheets, changing glue heads, moving top folding rails, setting calipers, side guides and fingers, feeding the machine while it is operating, and greasing the machine.
Perform preventative maintenance on the machine and work area, including cleaning.
Continuously check the quality of work during production.
Check product counts and set up the machine for the next order.
Complete required documentation in the reporting system.
Ensure the end product is ready for the customer.
Maintain a clean and safe production area while operating at high production levels.
Assist in training new employees in all job duties.
Work overtime as required.
Perform miscellaneous job-related tasks assigned by a Management Representative.
