About The Position

The Folder/Gluer Apprentice sets up the feed section of the machine and assists the machine operator with other duties. The position cross-trains in the functions and tasks involved in operating the facility’s folder/gluer machines. Future folder-gluer operators will be selected from the apprentice pool. The role is located in West Chester, Ohio, and is assigned to the second shift. Overtime is required. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up the machine’s feed section in a timely manner.
• Ensure sheets placed in the machine are positioned properly.
• Maintain the overall quality and cleanliness of the machine.
• Assist the operator with all aspects of the work as required during training.
• Fill in during the operator’s absence.
• Maintain the safety and cleanliness of equipment and the work area.
• Work safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Work overtime as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
