FN Aide - Helen Keller - Food Service - Full Time - Shift 1
About The Position
Performs routine cafeteria duties related to preparing and serving patient food. Sets up and serves patient trays according to established schedules and procedures, prepares coffee and tea for the patient food service line, and prepares, loads, unloads, and cleans food carts. Assists with department equipment and supply care and maintenance, restocks disposable items, condiments, and diet kits, and lines trays with tray covers. Assists the dishwasher by scraping trays and washing dishes to ensure dishes and utensils are clean. Provides courteous and effective service to guests and employees, explains menu or food items when requested, and serves correct portion sizes.
Requirements
- Some knowledge of diets.
- Knowledge of cooking methods and procedures, including types of preparation and related routines.
- Ability to communicate with the public.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and established procedures.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Six months of food service experience preferred.
