About The Position

Responsible for safe and efficient car inspection and repair at an FMO location. This role involves supervising employees, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards, fostering positive employee relations, maintaining operational efficiency, controlling expenses, and serving as a liaison to relevant organizations. The position requires adherence to Human Resource policies and procedures and involves supervision of employees represented by a labor organization.

Requirements

• One to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Associate's degree (AA) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assure the safe performance of duties by their employees in accordance with Safety Policies.
• Instruct and train employees in the proper inspection and repair of railcars in compliance with current Company and Industry standards.
• Foster positive employee relations, and ensure conformance to Human Resource Policy and Procedures.
• Maintain efficient and productive operation in accordance with Company goals.
• Control expenses related to the location's operations and distribution of labor.
• Serve as local liaison to host railroad, AAR and FRA.
• Supervision responsibilities for employees represented by labor organization.
