About The Position

This position is responsible for operating and cleaning fluid filling and packaging equipment, maintaining a sanitary environment for the packaging of fluid products. The operator will work with various products including milk, eggnog, fruit drinks, juices, teas, and water, filling them into gallon, half-gallon, and single-serve containers. Responsibilities include operating CIP and COP systems, floor scrubbers, and disassembling/reassembling fillers and associated equipment for cleaning. The role also involves manual cleaning of various packaging area equipment, performing laboratory tests, monitoring weight control, and ensuring product quality meets company and regulatory standards.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Must demonstrate safe working habits.
Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently.
Must have a mechanical aptitude and demonstrate abilities.
Ability to obtain a license and operate a forklift.
Must have basic computer skills, including Man Machine Interface (MMI) and data entry.
Ability to climb ladders to clean conveyors.
Must be able to learn and perform all positions.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must have good human relations skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team player).
Must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
Must have excellent attendance and punctuality.
Must have excellent safety work habits.
Must be willing to assist other team members in other areas.

Previous Manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Operating and cleaning fluid filling and packaging equipment.
Maintaining a sanitary environment for the packaging of fluid products.
Operating fluid filling equipment proficiently for various container sizes and products.
Operating CIP and COP systems.
Operating floor cleaner and scrubbing equipment.
Disassembling and reassembling fluid fillers and associated equipment for cleaning.
Performing manual and hand cleaning of casers, labelers, conveyors, fillers, filler parts, stackers, walls, drains, empty case conveyors, control panels, and any equipment involved in packaging.
Operating and maintaining equipment in the fluid packaging area, including labelers, conveyors, fillers, casers, and stackers.
Maintaining accurate written production records.
Performing laboratory tests and monitoring weight control of product.
Producing a quality product in a manner that meets Publix and Regulatory standards.
