About The Position

ASML is hiring a First Line Support Production Engineer in the Production Engineering department at its Wilton Factory. The role works across sectors to rapidly resolve production disturbance notices related to engineering issues and perform engineering steps listed in the production operator dashboard to support output. About 75% of the work is in the cleanroom, providing direct production support and troubleshooting electro-mechanical modules, subassemblies, module tests, final qualification issues, and multidisciplinary test equipment. The position follows a compressed work week night schedule: 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday. Occasional weekend coverage may be required. The engineer supports test rig qualification software, analyzes MATLAB runs and database data, evaluates RGA data and contamination requirements, and derives conclusions from test results. The role also develops troubleshooting and diagnostic materials, supports production staff qualification and implementation, evaluates failed parts, contributes to manufacturing procedures and technical work instructions, and participates in root-cause analysis, process improvement, and production engineering initiatives. The work takes place in a cleanroom requiring full gowning and adherence to ISO 9000/14000 standards. The environment may include exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage and currents, lasers, chemicals, overhead cranes, fork trucks, motorized pallet movers, ladders, and platforms. The general environment is moderate in temperature and noise. Travel may be required depending on company needs. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, with a preference for Mechatronics. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree need at least two years of engineering-environment experience; candidates with a relevant master’s degree may qualify with no prior engineering-environment experience. The company offers medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, participation in its 401(k) plan, eight hours of vacation leave per month, and 13 paid holidays per calendar year.
