About The Position

Working independently or with technical sales representatives, the Flow Cytometry Specialist will be primarily responsible for sales through lead generation activities, funnel management, qualification, and providing demos. This role involves meeting and exceeding company sales forecasts in a designated area for assigned products through in-depth market and technical knowledge, and sales skills. The specialist will identify potential sales leads, develop sales plans, and make customer presentations and workshops to build product interest and engage KOLs. They will plan and conduct product demos, travel throughout their assigned area to develop strong customer relationships, solicit orders, perform product demonstrations, attend trade shows, and perform troubleshooting. The role may also provide primary field support for the MACSQuant® install base, offering onsite training and applications support post-sale. Regular use of a corporate electronic account management system (CRM) is required for documenting customer interactions, managing leads, and tracking opportunities. The specialist will maintain relationships with the MACSQuant® install base, coordinate communication with FCAS and TSC, and participate in strategic market analysis to provide competitive information to management for new product opportunities and special marketing programs. Collaboration in shared accounts to grow overall company sales is also expected. Travel domestically and internationally is required.

Requirements

  • Ph.D., M.S. or B.S. degree from a four-year college or university and three to five years of equipment sales experience in the life sciences environment, flow cytometry experience preferred.
  • Familiar with a variety of sales concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, evidence of insurance/ insurability, and ability to receive appropriate clearance to access restricted government accounts.

Responsibilities
