About The Position

Emory University is seeking a Floriculturist for its Campus Services department. This role involves the selection, planting, and maintenance of exterior and interior plant materials and specialized gardens. The Floriculturist will be responsible for planting annual and seasonal flowers and assisting in the development of planting and maintenance programs. The position requires in-person performance at an Emory University location.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two years of technical training in plant maintenance, horticulture, or a related field
• Three years floriculture or landscape experience
• Knowledge of floral arranging
• Valid Category 24 Ornamental and Turf Pest Control Pesticide Applicators License from the Georgia Department of Agriculture or able to obtain certification within six months of employment
• Valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop and twist (for some positions within this classifications)

Responsibilities

• Attends to exterior and interior plant materials and specialized gardens by selecting, planting, and maintaining plant materials.
• Plants annual and seasonal flowers.
• Assists in the the development of planting and maintenance programs.
• Performs other related duties as required.
