About The Position

Westborn Market is seeking a part-time floral designer responsible for creating and executing unique floral designs, as well as those requested by clients. This position requires the ability to design and create independently and efficiently. Westborn Market started in 1963 and has grown into a third-generation owned and operated business with four locations across Metro Detroit, valuing quality goods, superior service, and team member relationships.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of Floral Design experience required
• Excellent creativity and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays as needed
• Moderate physical activity
• Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing, and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day

Responsibilities

• Creating unique floral arrangements for a variety of events and occasions
• Designing custom pieces for the design showcase
• Working closely with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on floral choices and design options
• Preparing floral arrangements for daily delivery and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Providing excellent customer service
