About The Position

Shady Grove Medical Center is seeking an experienced Housekeeper for its Environmental Services Department. The Floor Technician performs day-to-day Environmental Services activities to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable facility. The role includes cleaning floors and carpets in assigned areas according to departmental procedures, working effectively with minimal supervision, using cleaning chemicals and supplies, and disposing of trash according to established procedures.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of housekeeping experience.
• Ability to communicate at a level that allows for safe and efficient job performance.
• Ability to use supplies, tools, and equipment safely and properly.
• Familiarity with detergents, germicides, and other cleaning and chemical supplies.

Nice To Haves

• A high school diploma or GED is highly desired, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day Environmental Services activities to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable facility.
• Clean floors and carpets daily in assigned areas, following departmental standard procedures.
• Work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Collect, pack, and dispose of trash according to established procedures.
