About The Position

Shady Grove Medical Center is seeking an experienced Floor Technician for its Environmental Services Department. The role supports the organization’s mission to extend God’s care through physical, mental, and spiritual healing by helping maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable facility. The technician performs routine floor and carpet cleaning in assigned areas, follows department procedures, works effectively with minimal supervision, handles cleaning chemicals and equipment safely, and disposes of trash according to established procedures.

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week day-shift position. Weekend work is required every other weekend on a rotating basis, and holiday work is also rotating. The listed pay range is $18.00–$23.48.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of housekeeping experience.
• Ability to communicate at a level that allows safe and efficient job performance.
• Ability to use supplies, tools, and equipment safely and properly.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is highly desired, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day Environmental Services activities to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable facility.
• Clean floors and carpets daily in assigned areas, following Environmental Services Department procedures.
• Work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Use detergents, germicides, and other cleaning and chemical supplies.
• Collect, pack, and dispose of trash according to established procedures.
• Use supplies, tools, and equipment safely and properly.
