About The Position

AB Facility Services is seeking an experienced Floor Technician to maintain commercial flooring in a professional office environment. The role requires hands-on experience with floor care equipment and floor restoration services. This is a part-time position in Norfolk, Virginia, scheduled Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with pay of $14.00–$15.77 per hour and a $200 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of commercial floor care experience.
• Experience with floor stripping, waxing, buffing, and burnishing.
• Ability to operate floor care machinery safely and effectively.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass a background check.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Strip, wax, buff, scrub, and maintain hard floor surfaces.
• Sweep, mop, shampoo, and vacuum floors as needed.
• Operate floor care equipment, including auto scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, Kaivac systems, and other floor machines.
• Mix and use cleaning chemicals safely according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Transport equipment and supplies throughout the facility.
• Monitor inventory and report supply needs.
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards.
