About The Position

AB Facility Services is seeking an experienced Floor Technician to maintain commercial flooring in a professional office environment. Candidates must have hands-on experience with floor care equipment and floor restoration services. The role involves caring for hard floor surfaces, using cleaning chemicals and floor-care machinery safely, moving supplies and equipment, and following company safety procedures and standards.

Requirements

At least 1 year of commercial floor-care experience.
Experience with floor stripping, waxing, buffing, and burnishing.
Ability to operate floor-care machinery safely and effectively.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must pass a background check.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds as needed.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Strip, wax, buff, scrub, and maintain hard floor surfaces.
Sweep, mop, shampoo, and vacuum floors as needed.
Operate floor-care equipment, including auto scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, Kaivac systems, and other floor machines.
Mix and use cleaning chemicals safely according to manufacturer guidelines.
Transport equipment and supplies throughout the facility.
Monitor inventory and report supply needs.
Follow all safety procedures and company standards.
