About The Position

The Floor Technician is responsible for the daily maintenance and appearance of all floor types throughout the facility. This role requires adherence to HHS policies and procedures for floor care, proper use of chemicals and equipment, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum of one year of experience as a floor technician.
Knowledge of all types of floor care, chemicals, and their proper usage.
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Ability to stand for extended periods, pull, push, bend, kneel, and stretch as required.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Ability to obtain and maintain any base/installation access credentials required by the location.

Responsibilities

Place caution signs before performing any floor work.
Clean baseboards, corners, and kick plates.
Perform floor care according to HHS policies and procedures.
Use proper chemicals and equipment for floor care.
Operate floor cleaning equipment.
Remove burn marks from floors.
Move furniture and other objects as needed to complete floor care.
Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Return all moved items to their original positions after completing floor care.
Inspect work before leaving areas.
Turn off lights and secure doors after completing work.
Clean all equipment and return keys to the immediate supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
