About The Position

The Floor Technician is responsible for the daily maintenance and appearance of all floor types throughout the facility. This role involves using proper chemicals and equipment to perform floor care, operating floor cleaning equipment, and ensuring all areas are left clean and secure.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year experience as a floor technician.
• Knowledge of all types of floor care, chemicals, and the proper way to use them.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to stand for extended periods of time, pull, push, bend, kneel, and stretch as required.
• Be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Obtain and maintain any base/installation access credentials required by the location.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Place caution sign before any type of floor work is performed.
• Responsible for cleaning baseboards, corners, and kick plates.
• Follow HHS policies and procedures to perform floor care.
• Use proper chemicals and equipment.
• Operate floor cleaning equipment.
• Remove burn marks from floor before leaving area.
• Move furniture and other objects as needed in order to complete floor care.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Return all moved items to their original place after floor care.
• Inspect your work before leaving areas.
• Turn off lights and secure doors behind you.
• Clean all equipment and return any keys to your immediate supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
