About The Position

This position is responsible for the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the buildings. The role requires portraying a positive attitude, understanding and representing the core values of Apache Casino Hotel, and living the mission of providing exceptional service at all times. The team member must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance, with specific standards potentially applying departmentally based on uniform requirements. Uniforms, if required, must be clean and pressed at the beginning of each shift. The role involves cleaning and maintaining all assigned areas within the physical building structure, casino floor space, public areas, and utility systems. This includes cleaning and polishing furniture and fixtures, dusting walls, machines, and equipment, as well as high dusting, high windows, glass partitions, and mirrors. The position also requires moving heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, manually and/or using hand trucks, and restocking inventory/supplies as needed. Floor care involves sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming, as directed, including stripping, sealing, finishing, and polishing floors, steam-cleaning or shampooing carpets, and preparing cleaning solutions according to specifications. The team member must inform their supervisor when supplies and equipment are needed and promote excellent guest service by understanding and complying with the Eye Hi Goodbye program. Additionally, the role involves monitoring building security and safety, such as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to prevent hazards. The team member must notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems and work effectively with peers, team members, and regulatory agency personnel. Other duties as assigned are also part of the role. Regular attendance is required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience cleaning machines like buffers, strippers, commercial extractors, and others
  • Knowledge, skills and abilities to work with personal computers, cleaning equipment and sanitation systems
  • Ability to use equipment and supplies as required to ensure cleanliness, including climbing and working on ladders
  • Competence to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; ability to read and write daily zone paperwork
  • At a minimum, the selected finalist will be required to pass a background check and drug-screening test, and obtain a gaming license.
