About The Position

Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital is hiring a full-time Floor Technician for a first-shift day schedule in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The incumbent is responsible for floor maintenance and practices safe work habits when using chemicals, equipment, and cleaning applications. Floor-care tasks include mopping, scouring, scrubbing, stripping, and polishing. The technician is cross-trained to Environmental Services Technician I competencies to provide cleaning duties when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; one year of housekeeping or environmental services department experience may substitute for the education requirement.
• One year of Environmental Associate experience.

Nice To Haves

• Previous healthcare or hospitality experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floors using appropriate cleaning methods and applications.
• Use chemicals and cleaning equipment safely.
• Mop, scour, scrub, strip, and polish floors.
• Provide cleaning duties when necessary, using Environmental Services Technician I competencies.
