Requirements

  • Experience in floor care, housekeeping, custodial work, or commercial cleaning (floor machine experience strongly preferred)
  • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage time well
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety (including chemical and equipment safety)
  • Compassionate, service-oriented approach with a professional demeanor
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to understand and respect the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and families in a hospice setting
  • Physically able to be on your feet for extended periods and move equipment/furniture as needed

Responsibilities

  • Keep floors clean, safe, and professional, especially in hallways and common areas.
  • Support room turnovers by using floor equipment as needed when rooms are prepared.
  • Help set up and reset rooms for events, meetings, and gatherings (tables, chairs, room layouts, and equipment).
  • Provide backup support to Housekeeping and occasional basic support to Facilities/Maintenance.
  • Ensure the building is always ready at a moment's notice, potentially rotating as needed for facility operations every day, including holidays.
