About The Position

The Floor Care/Porter position at Beacon Brook Center for Health & Rehabilitation, an affiliate of National Health Care Associates, is a full-time role (32 hours a week) with day and evening shifts available, and no weekend work. Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention and safety measures in long-term care are highly valued but not required; training will be provided

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
• Dispose of trash and waste
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed
• Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and organized environment
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and staff
• Operate cleaning equipment such as buffing machines, vacuums, etc.
