About The Position

This position involves the maintenance and upkeep of floors, including knowledge of operating various power equipment. The Floor Tech will be responsible for cleaning various areas of the facility, assisting with project cleaning, and reporting any equipment malfunctions.

Requirements

Must be able to lift 50 lbs repetitively
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with arms and hands.
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to occasionally talk or hear.
Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Cleans offices, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
Knowledge of operating a propane buffer, super stripper, low speed, electric buffer carpet extractor, and automatic scrubber.
Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
Assists in the completion of the workload in the absence of others.
Assists in providing project cleaning of buildings which includes lifting and removing furniture from rooms, refinishing hard surface floors, shampooing carpets, cleaning blinds, light fixtures/shields, washing walls, windows, doors and furniture.
Operates various types of equipment and machinery, which include wet vacuums, hand trucks, vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors, floor buffers, automatic scrubbers, etc.
Reports any malfunctions and maintenance problems to the supervisor.
Discusses work problems and/or schedule problems with supervisor and/or management.
Provides assistance with any outside cleaning chores, which may include sweeping sidewalks, and picking up trash.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
