About The Position

The Janitorial Floor Tech is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of floors using various power equipment. This role involves cleaning various areas of the facility, including offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas. The position requires knowledge of operating specialized floor cleaning machinery and assisting with project cleaning tasks. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and possess a valid driver's license.

1 year experience required
Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Cleans offices, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
Knowledge of operating a propane buffer, super stripper, low speed, electric buffer carpet extractor, and automatic scrubber.
Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
Assists in the completion of the workload in the absence of others.
Assists in providing project cleaning of buildings which includes lifting and removing furniture from rooms, refinishing hard surface floors, shampooing carpets, cleaning blinds, light fixtures/shields, washing walls, windows, doors and furniture.
Operates various types of equipment and machinery, which include wet vacuums, hand trucks, vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors, floor buffers, automatic scrubbers, etc.
Reports any malfunctions and maintenance problems to the supervisor.
Discusses work problems and/or schedule problems with supervisor and/or management.
Provides assistance with any outside cleaning chores, which may include sweeping sidewalks, and picking up trash.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
