About The Position

The Floor Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining carpeted and hard floor surfaces throughout the resort. This physically demanding role requires the efficient and safe operation of hotel floor-care and cleaning equipment, preventative maintenance, and adherence to safety and resort standards. The technician works with housekeeping and maintenance teams, responds to spills and cleaning requests, and ensures assigned spaces meet quality standards. Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.

Requirements

Minimum 3–4 years of Floor Technician or similar experience in a luxury resort environment.
Knowledge of floor-care techniques and safety procedures.
Proven experience using floor and carpet-cleaning equipment in large resort establishments.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, push, or pull 40–50 lbs.
Ability to work independently, pay attention to detail, and maintain a positive attitude.
Excellent spoken and written English, including reading and comprehension.
Ability to complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
Ability to handle difficult situations involving guests or others professionally.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and use hands to handle tools, machinery, or controls.
Flexibility to work required shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Hospitality certificate, diploma, or formal training.

Responsibilities

Vacuum, shampoo, and thoroughly clean carpets using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
Mop, strip, scrub, and buff hard floor surfaces throughout the resort.
Work collaboratively with housekeeping and maintenance teams.
Respond to emergency spills and other floor-cleaning requests as needed.
Use appropriate chemicals and supplies according to safety and resort standards.
Operate and maintain floor machinery and equipment efficiently and safely.
Follow health and safety regulations, including proper chemical handling and storage.
Ensure assigned spaces meet cleanliness and quality standards.
Perform other duties based on business needs.
