About The Position

The Floor Tech performs floor care and general housekeeping in commercial buildings, offices, schools, healthcare facilities, and industrial sites. Duties include cleaning and maintaining hard-surface floors and carpets, operating floor care equipment, and following safety procedures when handling chemicals and equipment. The role may require evening, overnight, or weekend work.

Requirements

• Knowledge of floor maintenance techniques and equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Skills in floor stripping and waxing, carpet cleaning and extraction, buffing and burnishing, chemical handling and safety, time management, reliability, and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Previous floor care or janitorial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors.
• Strip, wax, buff, and polish hard-surface floors.
• Clean and maintain carpets using extraction and shampooing equipment.
• Operate floor care machines such as burnishers, buffers, and auto scrubbers.
• Remove stains, scuff marks, and spills from flooring surfaces.
• Follow safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Inspect floors for damage and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good working condition.
• Support general housekeeping duties as assigned.
