About The Position

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining and restoring hard floor and carpeted surfaces to ensure a clean, safe, and professional appearance. This position performs floor care tasks such as stripping, waxing, buffing, scrubbing, polishing, and carpet cleaning in commercial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Strip, wax, seal, and refinish hard floor surfaces.
• Operate floor care equipment, including buffers, burnishers, scrubbers, and extractors.
• Clean and maintain carpeted areas through vacuuming, shampooing, and extraction methods.
• Sweep, mop, and dust floors and other assigned areas.
• Remove stains, scuff marks, and debris from flooring surfaces.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Follow safety procedures when using chemicals and equipment.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or damaged flooring to management.
• Replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
• Assist with general cleaning duties when required.
