About The Position

The Floor Tech/Housekeeper works at The Montevista at Coronado, a senior living community operated by Stellar Senior Living. The role keeps residents’ living areas, apartments, and common areas clean and serviced to high standards. It also involves responding to resident complaints and questions promptly and politely while respecting residents’ dignity, privacy, individuality, and preferences.

Requirements

• Ability to follow cleaning product instructions.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• A record of punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to adapt to changes as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Proven experience in house, office, or hotel cleaning.
• Experience with carpet-cleaning machinery.

Responsibilities

• Keep the cleaning cart stocked with needed supplies.
• Clean and maintain floors in common areas and rooms as needed.
• Use carpet-cleaning machinery and perform floor waxing and mopping as needed.
• Clean assigned resident apartments and common areas daily according to facility procedures, including dusting, dry mopping, wet mopping, sanitizing, and scrubbing.
• Respect each resident’s rights, dignity, individuality, privacy, personal items, and preferences about room arrangement.
• Knock before entering resident areas.
• Accommodate residents’ preferred cleaning methods within reason.
• Dispose of trash, waste, and other materials safely, using identified precautions for contaminated materials.
• Resolve resident complaints and queries promptly and politely.
