About The Position

The Apothecarium, an award-winning cannabis retail brand, is seeking a full-time Floor Supervisor for its Nottingham, MD dispensary. The company is known for its modern, welcoming spaces, emphasis on education, and exceptional customer service. This role involves providing compassionate, friendly, and professional customer service, assisting patients and caregivers with cannabis recommendations, including product selection, effects, potency, dosing, methods of consumption, and administration. The Floor Supervisor will also act as a Leader on Duty (LOD), managing daily operations, training new employees, and handling complex patient inquiries. The ideal candidate will have strong situational awareness and emotional intelligence, with the ability to work effectively within a diverse team.

Requirements

Must meet age requirements by state as determined by the Department of Health or State Regulatory Commission.
At least one (1) year of customer service, retail, or related experience preferred.
Must be flexible regarding work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
At least one (1) year of supervisory or leadership experience.
Able to push, pull, lift, or move a minimum of 50 lbs.
Capable of sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, squatting, and/or walking for extended periods of time.
Able to handle cash or card transactions with patients using an electronic processing system.
Stand constantly.
Walk frequently.
Reach and twist/turn with hands and arms.
Climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, friendly, and professional customer services to patients.
Assist patients and caregivers with cannabis recommendations through the process of product selection, effects, potency, dosing, methods of consumption, and administration.
Serve as a Leader on Duty (LOD).
Open the store and prep staff for customers.
Train new employees on the POS system and Ecommerce platform.
Assist patients with product usage questions.
