About The Position

The Floor Supervisor will manage and supervise Home Cafe operations, acting as a backup to staff in various roles including bus person, host/hostess, wait person, dishwasher, cook, and prep cook when needed. This role is responsible for ensuring quality services to guests and employees, developing and maintaining positive relations, and assisting in the supervision of restaurant programs for compliance with safety and employment laws. The supervisor will manage and develop staff through hiring, training, scheduling, rewarding, and disciplining, and conduct performance reviews. They will monitor employee attendance, make schedule adjustments, and ensure the Home Cafe is prepared for business, including checking computer systems, wait stations, food quality, and TV channels. The role also involves ensuring employees adhere to uniform and nametag policies, and that supervisors possess a gaming license if applicable. Regular and reliable attendance, punctuality, and consistent presence during scheduled work hours are fundamental requirements. The supervisor will ensure employees are informed of company policies, review and authorize employee timecards for payroll, and attend departmental meetings to provide guidance on restaurant issues. They will also assist in anticipating and reducing guest complaints, help with monthly inventory reconciliation, and alert their supervisor of concerns regarding food and beverage quality, selection, and variety. Following established security protocols to ensure a safe work environment and maintaining alertness to all responsibilities, restaurant operations, and customer satisfaction are key. The supervisor will keep their supervisor informed of any concerns and perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated hospitality or restaurant management experience, preferably within a gaming environment.
  • Demonstrated experience dealing with employees in restaurant operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing employees.
  • Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure.
  • Demonstrated experience problem solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
  • Three (3) or more years of recent and related hospitality or restaurant experience.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience, preferably within a gaming environment.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement.
  • Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours.
  • Supervisor must wear a gaming license if in possession of one.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and manages Home Cafe operations.

  • Ensures quality services to guests and employees and develops positive relations.
  • Assists in supervision of restaurant programs for compliance with safety and employment laws, and the Colorado Limited Gaming Act.
  • Manages and develops staff by assisting with hiring, training, scheduling, rewarding, and disciplining.
  • Conducts performance reviews and supervises staff to meet performance expectations.
  • Monitors employee attendance and makes schedule adjustments for proper coverage.
  • Assures the Home Cafe is ready for business, including checking computer systems, wait stations, food quality, and prep kitchen.
  • Ensures all employees wear and maintain uniforms properly, including nametags.
  • Ensures employees are informed of company and department policies and procedures.
  • Reviews and authorizes employee timecards for payroll processing.
  • Attends and participates in departmental meetings and provides clarification and guidance.
  • Makes professional contacts with other companies and industry professionals.
  • Assists to anticipate, reduce, or eliminate complaints from guests.
  • Assists with monthly inventory reconciliation and prepares necessary paperwork.
  • Alerts supervisor of any concerns regarding the quality, selection, and variety of all food and beverages.
  • Follows established security protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Maintains alertness for performance of all responsibilities and general awareness of restaurant operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
