About The Position

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a full-time Floor Maintenance Assistant for the Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (BMNTC). This role is primarily responsible for cleaning and maintaining various floor surfaces and safely moving furniture within the facility. Depending on staffing needs, the position may also involve various housekeeping duties. BMNTC serves adults with chronic and complex medical conditions co-existing with neurodevelopmental or neurocognitive disorders, requiring 24-hour supervision and care.

Requirements

• One year of experience in floor maintenance work in a commercial or institutional setting.
• Ability to follow procedural directions in the use of cleaning products.
• Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
• Must be in good standing with the Health Care Personnel Registry and other licensing boards/agencies.
