About The Position

The Floor Inspector leads the housekeeping team and ensures guest rooms and public areas are clean, welcoming, and ready for guests. The role supports room attendants in delivering a high-quality in-room experience, anticipates guest needs, and helps create a positive team culture through example, training, and guidance.

Requirements

• One to three years of related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong people skills and ability to lead by example and foster a positive team culture.
• Passion for customer service.
• Ability to accommodate varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand or sit, carry or lift up to 50 pounds, walk, bend or twist, and climb stairs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the housekeeping staff, including assigning and reviewing work.
• Keep staff on schedule and inspect and approve public areas and guest rooms for cleanliness.
• Oversee laundry and ensure checkout rooms are turned over in a timely manner.
• Interact with hotel guests in a polite and positive manner.
• Train and guide housekeeping staff on hotel Standard Operating Procedures and departmental standards.
• Monitor purchasing costs and labor expenses.
