About The Position

Responsible for inspecting in process and finished parts to ensure that customer requirements are met. This role involves interpreting drawings, control plans, process instructions, and work instructions to determine sample quantities and features to be inspected. The inspector will use various measuring tools and gages to complete inspections, identify and report non-conforming conditions, and approve acceptable parts for shipment or further processing. Responsibilities also include transferring rejected parts, logging data into the ERP system, verifying corrective actions, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in current computer software.
• Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to retain instructions sufficient to perform complex tasks successfully and with very minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to comprehend and comply with requirements of the Quality Systems Manual as instructed.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, control plans, process instructions and work instructions to determine sample quantities and features to be inspected for lots of parts with supervision.
• Use micrometers, calipers, visual inspection, and other gages as required to complete planned inspections with supervision.
• Identify and report conditions that do not meet requirements, and approve acceptable parts for shipment or further processing.
• Transfer rejected parts to staging area and log data into the ERP system.
• Verify implementation of appropriate correct action for quality issues.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and other gages as required.
• Maintain clean work areas and orderly storage of fixtures, gages and special inspection equipment.
• Wear personal protective equipment and follow safety instructions as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
