About The Position

The Floor Houseperson is responsible for maintaining standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments in public spaces of the hotel, adhering to franchise and hotel standards. This role requires availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. Key duties include handling guest complaints to ensure satisfaction, observing all house and safety rules, housekeeping procedures, and security procedures. The Houseperson will also return and restock their cart at the end of each shift and complete additional deep cleaning or seasonal cleaning functions as scheduled. They are responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and handling guest requests or complaints, as well as ensuring the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year cleaning experience
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding
  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hotel experience preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
