About The Position

Shaner Hotels has an opportunity at their Harrisburg Fairfield Inn & Suites, located adjacent to the Harrisburg International Airport. This Fairfield Inn & Suites features 123 spacious guest rooms, a complimentary breakfast, fitness center, meeting space, and a lobby lounge serving lunch, dinner, and cocktails. The Floor Houseperson is responsible for maintaining standards of quality and cleanliness in public spaces, handling guest complaints, and observing safety and security procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum one year cleaning experience
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hotel experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments and in assigned public spaces according to franchise and hotel standards.
• Handle guest complaints and requests, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Observe all house and safety rules, housekeeping procedures, and security procedures.
• Return and restock cart at end of shift.
• Complete additional deep cleaning / seasonal cleaning functions as scheduled.
• Report any maintenance deficiencies.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
