About The Position

The Floor Houseperson plays an essential part in creating a clean, welcoming, and comfortable experience for every guest who walks through our doors. This role is based in part on the hotel’s operational housekeeping standards and responsibilities. Shaner Hotels has an amazing opportunity to join our team at our Lewisburg Fairfield Inn, located in Lewisburg, PA near Bucknell University. Conveniently located off Route 15 and Interstate 80, guests will enjoy our proximity to many local attractions.

Requirements

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

Nice To Haves

Previous housekeeping, cleaning, or hotel experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout guest hallways, public areas, stairwells, elevators, and service areas
Stock housekeeping closets with linen, supplies, and guest amenities
Transport clean and soiled linen throughout the hotel
Support Room Attendants with supplies and operational needs
Remove trays, trash, and debris from guest floors and service areas
Assist with deep cleaning and special projects as assigned
Operate cleaning equipment safely and properly
Follow all housekeeping, safety, sanitation, and security procedures
Report maintenance concerns, damages, or safety issues promptly
Assist guests with requests in a friendly and professional manner
Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping storage areas and carts
