About The Position

Briarfield Manor is hiring a Floor Care Technician to clean and maintain floors and perform related exterior cleaning. The role involves operating floor-care equipment, stripping and waxing floors, and cleaning areas throughout the facility. Candidates should have a genuine interest in geriatric work, a positive and cooperative attitude, and a willingness to act in the best interest of the facility. The schedule is weekends as needed with a holiday rotation.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited high school or have a GED.
Be in good physical and mental health.
Be reliable.
Pass a required physical, COVID-19 test, and BCI.
Be able to work independently or as part of a group.
Communicate effectively with others.
Have a positive, upbeat attitude and a genuine interest in geriatric work and caring for elderly people.
Work cooperatively with others and in the best interest of the facility.

Nice To Haves

Floor-care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Use mops, squeegees, buffers, polishers, automatic scrubbers, and vacuums to clean and maintain floors.
Clean sidewalks, remove litter, and sweep entrances.
Strip and wax facility floors.
Run the floor scrubber and dust mop in hallways, sitting areas, the front lobby, dining rooms, the basement hallway, and the kitchen area.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
