About The Position
Young Minds Development Center is seeking a dependable, adaptable part-time Floating Teacher to support classrooms throughout the school. The teacher provides coverage where needed and helps maintain a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment. This role involves working with different age groups, collaborating with a team, and adapting to changing daily needs. Young Minds is a state-licensed early childhood education center and part of a growing network of schools. Its classrooms encourage curiosity and creativity and support children’s learning and development. The position has flexible part-time hours scheduled between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.; daily hours may vary based on classroom coverage and school needs.
Requirements
- Enjoyment of working with young children and supporting their learning and development.

- Strong communication and classroom-support skills.
- Ability to adapt to different classrooms and age groups.

Responsibilities
- Provide classroom coverage and support across the school as needed.
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities and routines.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Build warm, respectful relationships with children and support their social and emotional development.
- Follow classroom schedules, school policies, and health and safety procedures.
- Communicate and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families as appropriate.
- Assist with transitions, meals, rest periods, and other daily routines.
