About The Position

Kiddie Academy of O'Fallon is hiring a full-time Floating Teacher to support early childhood education in a nurturing, welcoming environment. The role involves helping create a loving, safe, and engaging classroom, partnering with lead teachers to deliver meaningful learning experiences, and building strong relationships with children, families, and teammates. The teacher plans hands-on, age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and growth, while modeling kindness, positivity, and professionalism. The schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately eight hours per day, with rotation-based shifts between 6:45 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Pay is $17.50–$20.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in early childhood education.
High school diploma required.
Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds regularly.
Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and the team.
Patience and empathy when responding to children's needs.
Creativity in planning fun, engaging, age-appropriate activities.
Organization in managing lessons, materials, and classroom routines.
Adaptability to changing needs and situations.
Commitment to children's growth and love of learning.

Nice To Haves

CDA credential.
Associate degree.
