About The Position

The Floating Maintenance Technician performs maintenance and repair work across apartment communities. The role covers HVAC systems; plumbing fixtures and installations; carpentry; drywall and painting; electrical systems and appliances; and machinery such as chillers, belts, pumps, and fans. The technician is expected to provide exceptional customer service and may be required to work weekends, including Saturday and Sunday.

Requirements

1–2 years of experience in commercial property or multi-unit residential property.
High school diploma or GED; 3–4 years of experience can offset the minimum educational requirement.
Self-motivation, teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, customer service, and personal accountability.
Computer and smartphone literacy.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally and in writing, for work-related responsibilities.
May need a valid driver’s license depending on property needs.

Responsibilities

Repair, clean, and replace HVAC components and systems.
Repair plumbing, replace parts, and install sinks, toilets, faucets, and related fixtures.
Repair and install doors, shelves, countertops, locks, and other carpentry items.
Repair drywall and plaster and perform painting.
Maintain and repair lighting, wiring, power circuits, switches, lamps, and appliances.
Repair and maintain machinery, including chillers, belts, pumps, and fans.
Provide exceptional customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
