About The Position

BrightPath Kids is seeking a Float Teacher in Avon, Ohio. The Float Teacher works alongside teachers and families to provide a welcoming, home-like environment for children in care, ages 6 weeks to 12 years. The role includes supporting classroom instruction, supervising children, maintaining clean and safe classrooms, encouraging children to participate in activities, and communicating with parents or guardians. Paid training in classroom procedures is provided, and classroom experience is not required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
• Decorate inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment where children can grow and explore.
• Interact with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
