Float RN Care Center Days
About The Position
Suncoast Hospice, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate hospice care to terminally ill patients and their families in an inpatient Care Center setting in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties. The role involves identifying and coordinating patient and family needs and providing preventive and supportive care. The RN uses assessment, intervention, and teaching skills to maximize patient comfort and quality of life, and oversees LPNs and/or aides delivering care in the GIP environment. The nurse reports to the Patient/Family Care Coordinator/Care Center Manager and is required to float if needed. The schedule is a day shift from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., including every other weekend.
Requirements
- At least one year of recent bedside nursing experience.
- Valid Florida Registered Nurse license.
- Valid Florida State Driver’s License.
- At least one year of current active nursing experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience caring for terminally ill patients or patients with life-threatening illnesses.
- One year of experience in an acute or post-acute care setting.
Responsibilities
