M/S Tele Float Pool RN - 36hrs. Day Rotate and EOW
About The Position
This position is for a Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for providing care across multiple Medical/Surgical Telemetry units. The RN must be willing to float to 8 different units within the hospital, including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow units. Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips. The patient population includes ED border patients, medication nurse duties in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented patients transfer-ready from the ICU. The hospital has a total bed count of 371, with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds. The clinician to patient ratio is up to 5:1 for Days & Eves, and up to 6:1 for Nights. Rotation requirements include Days/Eves rotation with 1 to 3 rotations to Nights per contract. The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used is EPIC. Active Massachusetts RN License and AHA BLS are required.
Requirements
- 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location
- 2 years working as a Traveler
- Telemetry monitoring including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours
- TR Band experience
- Ability to perform Cardiac Drips and Reading Tele Strips
- Active Massachusetts RN License
- AHA BLS
