About The Position
The Emergency Department RN position is for a 36 or 48-hour work week, with night shifts and requires availability on weekends and holidays. The Emergency Department is a 65-bed unit, pod-based, with separate pediatric and Acute Mental Health areas. The typical daily census is 230 visits. This role requires floating to the ED Observation wing (16 beds) and AMU (ED Psych OBs). While rotating shifts are generally required for day positions, this night position does not rotate.
Requirements
- 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience.
- Proficiency in general ED nursing skills: Assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, Cardiac Monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking and patient education.
- AHA Certified BLS, ACLS & PALS.
- Ability to float to the ED Observation wing and AMU.
- Must be available for night shifts and weekends/holidays.
