About The Position

Signature HealthCARE is a family-based healthcare company offering integrated services across multiple states, with care spanning skilled nursing, rehabilitation, assisted and memory care, and home-based services. The Float MDS Coordinator provides coverage for open positions and works with resident assessments and families. The role requires travel Monday through Friday and may involve overnight stays. The coordinator educates and implements programs related to the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), Prospective Payment Systems (PPS), Quality Measures, Medicaid Case Mix, and Medicare guidelines, and collaborates with the Clinical Reimbursement Specialist to onboard new MDS Coordinators.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, with the ability to obtain multistate licensure.
• At least three years of MDS experience in a long-term care setting.
• Ability to travel to centers up to 100% of the time, with overnight stays as needed.
• Ability to travel Monday through Friday.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Provide MDS coverage for open positions.
• Educate stakeholders and implement programs related to the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), Prospective Payment Systems (PPS), Quality Measures, Medicaid Case Mix, and Medicare guidelines.
• Assist and collaborate with the Clinical Reimbursement Specialist with onboarding new MDS Coordinators.
• Demonstrate competency in RAI, care planning, PPS, Medicare, and, when applicable, Medicaid Case Mix.
• Conduct resident assessments and meet with families.
