About The Position

Clinica Sierra Vista is seeking a Float Dentist to join their Comprehensive Care Center. This role involves working with the Dental Director to develop and implement patient and community education programs focused on dental disease prevention, alongside providing routine clinical services. While a significant portion of the professional time will be dedicated to chairside patient care, the overarching goal of preventive services will remain a priority. Clinica Sierra Vista is a Federally Qualified Health Center with a 47-year history, serving patients at 31 health centers in Fresno and Kern counties, offering a wide range of medical and dental services.

Requirements

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.
• Valid dental license in the state of California.
• Experience in providing a broad range of dental services including diagnostic, preventive, restorative, oral surgery, and prosthetic therapy.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.
• Commitment to community health and preventive care.
• J1/H-1B visa candidates are welcome.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting.
• Experience in developing and implementing community dental education programs.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Works with the Dental Director to develop an effective patient and community education and dental disease prevention program in addition to needed routine clinical services.
• Provide diagnostic, preventive, emergency, complete restorative, maintenance therapy, prosthetic therapy, and oral surgery services.
• Assisting in establishing standards of oral health service and developing an organizational plan to carry out activities.
• Learn to use provided techniques and methods appropriately.
• Supervision of dental staff.
• Representing the clinic in meetings of professional groups.
• May perform other work-related duties.

• $160,000 - $190,000 Base salary (Commensurate with experience)
