This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Mirabel, and performed exclusively on-site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technical college degree with 5 years’ experience in a related field of Instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of standard instrumentation types, sensors, signal conditioning types, electronic principles as well as calibration procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Leadership, autonomy, passion and a sense of responsibility.
  • Demonstrated abilities to work well in a team, perform under pressure and adapt to change.
  • Ability to innovate and change status quo in the business unit.
  • Very good knowledge of English to read and understand documentation and technical terms, and to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and knowledge of flight testing or testing of aeronautical products.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Data Acquisition Systems and engine control systems.
  • Comfortable using computers and ability to operate, learn and adapt to multiple softwares.
  • Knowledge and understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLC).

Responsibilities

  • Planning, preparing, and executing all instrumentation activities pertaining to meet key milestones for a flight test campaign of an experimental engine.
  • Designing, installing, calibrating, configuring, operating and maintaining airborne Data Acquisition Systems.
  • Generating drawings to produce harnesses.
  • Writing work instructions for the installation/removal of onboard instrumentation equipment.
  • Conditioning, monitoring and recording data in flight and on the ground.
  • Troubleshooting instrumentation issues.
  • Ensuring data quality and efficiency.
  • Participating in the pre/post-flight briefings.
  • Taking initiatives for continuous improvements in the business.
