About The Position

Mobius is seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Analyst to serve as an Advisory and Assistance Services contractor. This role provides programmatic, technical, analytical, and execution support to MDA’s Director of Flight Test (DTF) as they integrate the Space Based Interceptor (SBI) into MDA’s flight test program. DTF has overall responsibility for pre-mission activities, element integration, mission management, and execution of all MDA flight tests. MDA analysts and engineers work in modern, well-appointed government facilities in Huntsville, Alabama. This position involves collaboration with other missile defense experts – military, government civilians, and contractors from Mobius and other companies. The team of experts helps the Government manage planning, development, analysis, and delivery of state-of-the-art sensors, weapons, communications, and command/control systems. This position is located on Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Al.

Requirements

Experience with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) organization and Missile Defense System (MDS) designs, performance and testing
Experience with MATLAB, Python, Java, and/or other programming languages
Basic understanding of Orbital Mechanics and Physics
Knowledge of RF Engineering and Communication design and processing
Knowledge of Range Commander’s Council Standards
Able to work collaboratively as part of a team and assist in solving complex problems involving test planning, integration, execution, and analysis.
No direct experience required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
BA/BS in a technical field pertinent to the position being filled. 5 years relevant experience may be substituted for the BA/BS degree requirement
Active Secret or higher clearance

Responsibilities

Perform pre-mission target and interceptor trajectory generation and optimization
Perform pre-mission quantitative safety and risk analyses to ensure tests can be conducted safely in accordance with Range Commanders Council safety standards
Support Range Safety Working Group meeting and activities to include tracking action items, data delivery schedules, and analysis schedules
Assist with pre-mission telemetry link and radar assessments to ensure flight test architecture meets data collection requirements
Assist senior team members in conducting COLA (collision avoidance) assessments for day of flight execution
