About The Position
Participants in this DOW Skillbridge opportunity will work with Flight Software engineers on embedded and Linux‑based software that supports command, telemetry, networking, and autonomy for on‑orbit vehicles. You’ll learn by doing in labs, HITL/SITL environments, supporting Operations and system integration.
Requirements
- Active duty U.S. military service member eligible for DoD SkillBridge; command approval required.
- Familiarity with C/C++, Python, and Linux development.
- Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, UDP, sockets).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and interest in spacecraft systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Willingness to work full-time in our Greenwood Village, CO office; this position does not support remote or hybrid work.

Responsibilities
- Assist with C/C++ and Python development for spacecraft systems.
- Help integrate and test software in HITL, flatsat, and lab setups.
- Support networking and interface work between subsystems and ground systems.
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues using logs, telemetry, and test tools.
- Contribute to automation, CI/CD, and documentation.
