About The Position

JIRACOR LLC is seeking a motivated transitioning service member to join our Orlando team as a Business Analyst through the DoW SkillBridge Program. This opportunity is designed to provide hands-on experience in the business operations of a growing defense contractor. The selected participant will work alongside JIRACOR Executive Management and functional teams supporting business operations, financial analysis, federal contracting, project management, market research, data analysis, process improvement, customer support, and strategic planning. This is not an observational internship. You will work on real business requirements, projects, reports, analyses, and initiatives that support JIRACOR's day-to-day operations and long-term growth. JIRACOR LLC is an Orlando-based defense contractor supporting U.S. Government customers through engineering, training systems integration, manufacturing, lifecycle logistics, program management, and professional services. Our team operates in a highly regulated and mission-focused environment where accurate information, disciplined processes, financial awareness, contract compliance, and effective decision-making are essential. The SkillBridge Business Analyst will gain exposure to multiple areas of the company and develop an understanding of how a defense contractor manages its operations from opportunity identification through contract execution and customer delivery.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated analytical ability, accountability, initiative, and the ability to solve problems.
  • Military experience in operations, logistics, intelligence, finance or resource management, acquisition or contracting, program or project management, maintenance management, supply chain, engineering, training, communications, administration, planning, data analysis, or staff operations.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance at the appropriate level when required by JIRACOR contracts or programs.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, analyze, and interpret business and operational data.
  • Develop Excel-based analyses, trackers, dashboards, and management reports.
  • Identify trends, variances, risks, and potential areas for improvement.
  • Transform business data into concise information that supports management decisions.
  • Assist with development and monitoring of company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze actual performance against business plans, budgets, schedules, and management objectives.
  • Develop charts, summaries, and executive-level presentations.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis requested by Executive Management.
  • Assist with tracking contract revenue, costs, funding, invoicing, and financial performance.
  • Support analysis of contract budgets and expenditures.
  • Assist with labor-hour and cost tracking.
  • Analyze planned versus actual costs and identify significant variances.
  • Support contract and task-order financial reporting.
  • Assist with development of contract-level financial dashboards.
  • Support forecasting of revenue, backlog, workload, and cash-flow requirements.
  • Assist management with evaluating the financial impact of business decisions.
  • Coordinate with accounting, contracts, program management, and other functional personnel to validate business data.
  • Review contracts, task orders, Statements of Work (SOWs), Performance Work Statements (PWSs), and other business documents.
  • Assist with identifying contract deliverables, reporting requirements, milestones, and due dates.
  • Develop and maintain contract trackers and action-item logs.
  • Support tracking of contract modifications, funding actions, options, and periods of performance.
  • Assist with contract compliance documentation and internal reviews.
  • Research applicable federal contracting requirements and business processes.
  • Gain practical exposure to IDIQ contracts, task orders, GSA schedules, subcontracting, and federal acquisition processes.
  • Assist Program and Project Managers with schedules, milestones, deliverables, risks, and action items.
  • Develop and maintain project trackers and management dashboards.
  • Support Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and project schedule updates.
  • Track project progress against established milestones.
  • Assist with risk and issue tracking.
  • Support preparation of internal and customer-facing status reports.
  • Participate in project meetings and document decisions, action items, owners, and due dates.
  • Follow up on outstanding actions and support management visibility into project status.
  • Review existing business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Document current and future-state business processes.
  • Develop process maps, workflows, checklists, templates, and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify repetitive or manual processes that may benefit from automation.
  • Assist with standardizing company reporting and data collection.
  • Support implementation of business tools and improved workflows.
  • Assist with internal quality and process-improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct research on government agencies, defense programs, industry trends, competitors, customers, and potential partners.
  • Research federal opportunities using government and commercial information sources.
  • Analyze historical contract information and government spending data.
  • Monitor relevant RFIs, Sources Sought notices, solicitations, contract awards, and agency forecasts.
  • Prepare concise research summaries and business intelligence reports for management.
  • Assist with maintaining the company's business opportunity pipeline.
  • Support preparation of company capability information and customer presentations.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc management reports.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual business reviews.
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations and briefing materials for Executive Management.
  • Consolidate information from multiple departments into executive-level reports.
  • Track organizational goals, initiatives, commitments, and action items.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support strategic business decisions.
  • Assist with preparation for customer, partner, banking, and other external business meetings.
  • Maintain organized records supporting management decisions and business initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate information within company CRM and internal databases.
  • Maintain customer, partner, supplier, and business contact information.
  • Assist with SharePoint organization and document control.
