About The Position

Flight Nurse is part of the specialty transport team of experts to safely transport patients between medical facilities and accident scenes. An important aspect includes collaboration with other medical and emergency service providers for the purpose of establishing continuity of care by applying problem solving strategies to patient case challenges, adapting to a dynamic and challenging environment, and advancing treatment modalities/interventions with the end goals of providing the highest patient care and improving patient outcomes. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program
  • Texas Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • National Provider PALS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • 3 years of acute care nursing experience

Nice To Haves

  • National Trauma Nursing Core Course - Emergency Nurses Association within 1 year of hire
  • Neonatal Pediatric Transport Subspecialty Certification (C-NPT) -OR- Registered Nurse Certified in Inpatient Obstetrics (RNC-OB) -OR- Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) within 2 years of hire
  • 5 years of PICU, NICU, and/or Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience
  • 3 years of Flight Nursing/Specialty Transport Nursing experience
