About The Position

The Flight Line Technician is responsible for supporting all inbound and outbound aircraft, passengers and flight crew. Additionally, the Flight Line service assists other departments including aircraft maintenance, charter companies, and facilities. Operation of vehicles will be used in close proximity of aircraft, buildings, and people, requiring the use of cautious measures. Safety is important as Line Techs work around various fuels, oils, and other flammable or hazardous materials. Airport and FAA procedures must be followed to ensure the safety and protection of the airport and customer along with all others.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of aircraft, airfield operations, or related experience.
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills as well as experience in customer service.
  • Knowledge of fuel systems, testing, and delivery of fuel and oil amongst aircraft.
  • Experience in basic mechanical skills, fuel trucks, tugs, and forklifts.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Must pose a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours
  • Be able to pass background check, physical, and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship or having had a similar position for one to two years.

Responsibilities

  • Marshal, chock, and tie down aircraft to designated parking locations as well as towing if needed.
  • Guides incoming aircraft to designated parking locations and secures aircraft in that position.
  • Fuel aircraft both arriving and departing from the airport as well as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and cleaning windscreens.
  • Aid in securing payments for fuel and other services as well as assisting in finding lodging and/or transportation.
  • Secure transient aircraft overnight and place into hangars as requested.
  • Move/service aircraft as requested for airport business tenants, itinerant, and local customers.
  • Refill aircraft fuel trucks and self-serve as needed as well as receive fuel loads arriving for the fuel farm.
  • Answer phone calls and take messages or directs incoming calls as needed.
  • Loads and off-loads cargo flights both during and after hours.
  • Clean/organizes hangars and wash aircraft.
  • Maintain availability for call-outs after normal business hours.
  • Performs occasional lavatory/water services.
  • Assists in a variety of different inspections, maintenance checks, and necessary paperwork in compliance to the FAA and Titan Aviation Fuels.
  • Janitorial duties; vacuum, sweep, mop, empty trash, clean/fill coffee, clean/fill restroom dispensers, wipe down surfaces.
  • Assist with snow removal during winter operations including clearing of GA Ramp, sidewalks, and landside parking lot.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
